The 917VW is one of those fairly inconspicuous looking products that is never going to get a lot of attention. It features a well laid out menu and good build quality with great finish of materials. 
In the DisplayMate test, the performance lags behind its identically priced sibling 913FW, a weird showing, especially since both the LCDs used the same panels.
Performance in the color intensity tests was acceptable, but not commendable. F.E.A.R showed a noticeable lack of contrast, as did the darkest dungeons of Oblivion. The movie tests fared a little better with decent color, although the contrast issue still rears its head. At the same price as its sibling, you’d better go for the better looking and performing 913FW, unless it’s too loud for your office environment, in which case the 917VW will fit the bill.
