Porsche Carrera 911

Iconic. Instantly recognizable, fantastic to drive. Near-perfect

One of the world’s longest-living supercars, for some very good reasons. We get most of the models here, so choose between the already scary ‘base’ 911, the spiced-up S, and the fantastic Turbo. There is Ice-cold competence, especially in 4WD guise. The rear seats are for kids only, but the boost isn’t bad.

The 911 is chock-full of driver aids, including active suspension, and all the usual suspects. There are plenty of airbags, a superb traction/ stability system and the best brakes around. The 911 is known for its reliability and practically, but maintenance won’t be cheap. Service centre are few and far between, though, and it isn’t cheap. Though you’d pay anything, of course . . .
