A compact and cute monitor, the 732NW is built well. It’s a mediocre performer as DisplayMate revealed in the color and contrast tests, although to its credence the geometry tests were cleared without incident or hiccup. In F.E.A.R, it got the usual criticism I’ve levelled against most panels—a poor contrast ratio, and lower brightness. At this price it’s a little expensive to recommend.

Lighten Up with Magna
The summer is on and most of you would’ve made great plans. Some of them would’ve even planned for some long and great road trips. Of course, I’ve already enjoyed my trip. It was a short but enjoyable road trip. We went by one of our favorite bikes. Let me give you some tips for you to handle your road trip properly – and these tips are going to be helpful not only for your road trip but also for rest of your driving experiences.
Care should be taken that you are using the tyres with good grip – if you are going to a place which is very much slippery, then it is a must that you change your tyres before you start on with your trip. This part I didn’t do – we went on with some old tyres and we felt for that later.
But the smartest thing that we did was changing the default light of the bike to a superior quality HID in order to make your night drive a pleasure. Talking about HIDs I can't leave without letting you know about the professionals of HID Boat lights. For good quality HID lights, visit magnalight.com and have a look at the variety of HIDs they are offering. The Magna Light are offering a variety of boat lights to be selected from.

Preventive Maintenance – Part 10
All components of your computer are connected to your motherboard. The tiny components of the motherboard are difficult to clean and maintain. Layering of dust can however increase the chances of overheating. Clean the motherboard, RAM cards and other component cards with a dry cloth. Avoid using a vacuum cleaner on the motherboard since the tiny components and wires may cause a problem.

Sepia
For the scientifically inclined, the word “Sepia” comes from the genus of Cephalopod, which is a group of creatures including the cuttlefish. This is also why it has a capital letter. If an image is truly Sepia toned, (by a strict Sepia definition), it must technically be completely monochrome. This means that it only contain shades of brown, much like a black and white photograph only contains shades of grey.

NEC 1770NX-BK
Sporting the same kind of build quality that we saw on the larger 19-inch NEC monitors, the 1770NX immediately ran into issues with contrast in DisplayMate—nearly half of our grey cards were indistinguishable from black. In the color tests, for some weird reason, the 16-shade intensity ramp had serious issues with the four brightest intensities in the color green, and with the three brightest intensities in the colors red and blue where the shades looked the same—a shame for this monitor. In games the contrast ratio was noticeable although the color issue was only apparent with games. At this price nobody is going to lose any sleep over whether to purchase this monitor or not, so we’ll leave it at that.

ViewSonic VA1716W
ViewSonic’s 17-inch offering has a plasticy body, devoid of any of the fancy glossy materials I’m used to seeing. I ran into problems at every step of our test—the first stop being DisplayMate, where the poor contrast became apparent. Also the geometry tests, normally a breeze for most LCDs were a pain here, I had issues with line and point resolution. Then came the color tests and (sigh) by this time I nearly gave up—the performance in the shade ramp tests was terrible particualrly with the 256 shade ramp, where this monitor is not capable of many variations in intensity of the same color. Needless to say it’s not very suitable at gaming and movies too. Neither is the text rendition as clear as other monitors. Performance doesn’t come cheap, a known analogy, but its corollary is also true—what you don’t pay for, you don’t get.
